OUR MUSIC MINISTRY
Lutheran worship has always been grounded in strong musical traditions. "Music is God's greatest gift," said Martin Luther himself. "Next to theology, no art is equal to music... which is able to give a quiet and happy mind." At Servants of Christ, our music includes expressions from cultures around the globe and out of every age from ancient times down to today. We welcome you to participate in our musical groups, which meet for rehearsals at these regular times:
- ADULT CHOIR - Rehearses Thursdays at 7:30 pm
- ADULT HANDBELL CHOIR - Rehearses Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm
- RINGERS OF CHRIST YOUTH HANDBELL CHOIR - 5th grade - High School, rehearse on Sundays at 5:30 pm
- JOYFUL CHIMERS - Children's Chime Choir for grades 1-4, rehearse on Sundays from 11:15 - 11:45 pm
- RING-A-LINGS - Children's Chime Choir for PreK through Kindergarten, rehearse during Sunday School
- JOYFUL NOISE CHILDREN'S CHOIR - Rehearses Sunday mornings during Children's Church
- WORSHIP CANTORS - Rotating schedule, sings at Sunday worship

Adult Bell Choir
The Servants of Christ Handbell Choir is a team composed of dedicated individuals whose primary mission is to praise and worship God with the gift of music. We strive to accomplish this in three ways:
- By using the God-given talents for music that our Creator has bestowed upon us. ["Praise God in his sanctuary. with tambourine and dance. with strings and pipe. with clanging cymbals." - Psalm 150]
- By attending weekly Monday night rehearsals from August through May. ["Let us consider how to encourage one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together." - Hebrews 10:24-25]
- By attending AGEHR events to develop our musicianship in Handbell ringing.
As a member of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (www.agehr.org) and through generous support by our congregation, we attend the annual Midwestern Area V Conference (www.areavagehr.org), which provides opportunities for musical growth as well as fellowship.
We are always seeking dedicated individuals who are interested in praising God with music. Won't you join us? Practice is Monday nights at 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
